Pastor Matt is a graduate of Auburn University and former Auburn Football kicker. He attended seminary through Lakeview Baptist Church’s cohort with Southern Seminary. He met his wife Monica while at Auburn and they married in 1996. She is also a graduate of Auburn University and now teaches English and ACT at Beauregard High School.
They have four sons. Matthew is 25 and a graduate of The University of Memphis. He resides in Crawford and travels around pursuing his acting career. Caleb is 23 and is also a graduate of The University of Memphis. Caleb works as a pharmaceutical rep and recently married Katie Johnson of Phenix City. Caleb and Katie live in Crawford as well. Joshua is 21, lives in Crawford, and currently works in Auburn. Jacob is a senior at Beauregard High School and spends as much time as possible on the soccer field.
Pastor Matt loves the local church and has a heart for seeing people passionately follow Jesus and make disciples. Matt also enjoys sports with pickleball being his favorite pastime. He loves cooking on his Blackstone and having family game nights with his wife and kids.
